I work at the Art Gallery of Ontario and this past winter ( 2015) Turner has been our main show. His work is all about sky and the long view towards a horizon. I was inspired by this and by finding a whole bunch of plastic on the road. (detritus) Putting the two together to create this series.- January 2016

Here are three prints in reaction to the paintings above. All are small on paper 7 x7 ” The technique is drypoint -scratching into plexiglass and the ink is rubbed into the plate and plate is wiped “clean”. I was looking at the nocturnal pieces of Monet and Whistler for effects & inspiration.
