This series consists of five different softoleum plates; a left and right hand grouping of peacock feathers, a left and right standing close up of a stylized peacock and a small stamp of a single feather.
The inspiration was drawn from a mosaic peacock created by Bronwen Parker in the outback space of art Works art School . The schools mascot is the male peacock with it’s fine plumage. There is not enough Beauty in the world ;Mr. Peacock is trying his “darndest” to improve the world. He has the right idea. The series was a great exploration in lino reduction prints with tertiary colour exploration and metallic inks interspersed in the layers.
